Glamis '06
It's Glamis time again! We had to get away for a few days and play in the big kids sand box. The ol' DJ Fab ranger and one of our customers came, along with some friends and family.
Polaris Ranger conquers China Wall!! OK, so we couldn't make it more than about 1/3 of the way up this hill, but we were able to come down it. Doesn't that count? If you have never seen this dune, it's hard to realize just how massive and steep it really is.
Yucca Trip, 2006
In 2006, we made a trip to the outback area of Yucca, Az to test our new demo ride and to meet up with some of our customers for a weekend of off-roading and exploring.
We found plenty of cool trails, thanks to our Lowrance color GPS. The weather was overcast and with slight sprinkles, but perfect for exploring.
By the end of the first day, we had crossed 4 streams,ok, trickles (a big event in the dry deserts of Arizona!), crossed over the top of a 5600 foot mountain, visited an old ghost town/mine and dropped back down to camp at about 1500 feet. We put 67 miles on the GPS and hit a max speed of 49.9 MPH. We couldn't quite squeeze 50 MPH out of it!
Day 2 had us on everything fron smooth but windy mountain back roads that we were able to rally at 30-40+mph...
...to fun little side trails...
...to really rough, rutted and rocky goat trails that required 4-low and a little bit of Ranger acrobatics to get through.
