Here is a recent re-wire job we did...
So a customer brought us this nice little mid-engine rotary sandcar-it just had one problem. The wiring!
The wiring was really a mess, it was a wonder the car even ran.
This was someone's idea of a relay bracket/circuit breaker buss. Note the plumbers tape for bussing and the wire routing.
This giant wad of tape looked bad, but what it hid was even worse...
We lost count of the splices and spade terminals. Quite a few of the spade terminals came off of the wire when we attempted to disconnect them. This would truly be a nightmare to try to re-connect all these if you had to work on the car or pull the motor.
If your wiring looks like a third grader with A.D.D. got ahold of it like this does, maybe it's time you gave us a call...
Aaaagghh!! Now this is scary-and has the very real potential to leave you stranded or worse-start a fire.
After taking the whole car apart and mapping the current electrical system, we made some changes and additions and then printed out a comprehensive blueprint for both us and the customer to have. Then we got down to giving this nice little car the wiring job it deserved. As you can see, the center console looks better than in the opening photo, with neat, jacketed wiring long enough to access the underside of the console with it still connected if needed.
And the console plugs right into these weather pack connectors. No crossed wires, no pulled connectors-fast, easy connections and dis-connections just like O.E.M's
